We use 3 tooth
whitening systems at Marble Arch Medical &
Dental Centre.
If you are not happy with the shade of your teeth or the brightness of your smile, then tooth whitening is the least invasive way of solving the problem.
What's involved?
First, the dentist will determine whether you are a candidate for tooth bleaching and what type of bleaching system would provide the best results.
Whitens teeth by up to 10 shades, dramatically brightening your smile.
Enlighten Tooth Whitening only works on natural teeth (enamel) and cannot change the colour of existing crowns, dentures, white or metal fillings or veneers. This is ideal as the first line of treatment to improving your smile as it is non invasive and does not damage the teeth.
How long does the whitening last?
The results are long lasting and cannot actively be reversed. If you are a smoker or drink lots of coffee, tea, red wine etc, the results will be reduced more quickly. Some patients have a top up treatment after 3 to 4 years.
The most effective tooth whitening system available today
The combination treatment can even whiten tetracycline stained teeth to B1 and beyond with minimal sensitivity and zero fade-back and minimal maintenance regime
The deep bleaching trays allow accelerated low sensitivity gels to condition the teeth in the home phase so that in office, gel can penetrate deeper and glue astonishing results with low concentration, fade-back and sensitivity

If you are looking for white teeth fast this is for you! As seen on Extreme Makeover and many other improvement shows. Following three or four 15 minute procedures under a specialised light source you walk out with a dramatically different effect.
Our most common remark - WOW! You also have the choice of adding some take home trays for future top- ups.
If you don't choose power bleaching, your dentist will make impressions of your teeth to fabricate customised trays for you. The trays are custom made for your mouth and are lightweight so that it can be worn comfortably while you are awake or sleeping. The trays are so thin that you should even be able to talk and work while wearing them. Along with the trays, you'll receive the bleaching materials (gels). You'll be given specific instructions on use of these as this gel contains powerful whitening formulations. Then depending on your progress the amount of initial staining and amount of use a result is usually achieved in 2-3 weeks.
How long does it last?
Lightness should last from one to five years, depending on your personal habits such as smoking and drinking coffee and tea. We recommend that you may choose to top up your bleaching once or twice yearly. This procedure may not be as costly because you can probably still use the same bleaching tray. The retreatment time also is much shorter than the original treatment time.
Is it safe? Are there any side effects?
Several studies, during the past five years, have proven bleaching to be safe and effective. Some patients may experience slight gum irritation or tooth sensitivity, which will resolve when the treatment ends. In a recent research article 3 weeks of home whitening, does as much damage as drinking one can of coke!
